OCR: COMBAT RESOLUTION Combat resolution is somewhat involved in INTRIGUE. At the end of a turn, the program resolves combat. There is no element of chance in- volved with combat resolution. Simply put, an attacker who has reinforcement (including himself) in excess of the defending unit's supply will successfully capture the region. For each attacked region, the program decides who has the most reinforcement (if anyone); and, if this amount is more than the supply the defending unit can garner, ad- vances the attacking unit. If two or more attackers on the same region have equal strength, then no one advances into the region. Also, units may not exchange places.
